Frequently asked questions and contact, all in one place.
Yes. ShiftRhythm works from your schedule alone. Apple Watch and Apple Health integration only improve the estimate — they're not required. You can turn the integration on or off anytime in Settings → Data.
No. "Low" means the estimate is less certain — usually because there are few recent sleep measurements or your shifts changed a lot. The estimate still works. Keep your roster up to date and sleep with your Apple Watch for a few nights, and confidence rises automatically.
iOS hides health read permissions from apps, so instead of "granted/denied" the app can only show whether data is actually coming in. "Nothing yet" means either ① the permission is off, or ② that data hasn't accumulated on your device yet. Check permissions in the iOS Health app → Data Access & Devices → ShiftRhythm.
The sleep score needs a measured night recorded by Apple Watch. Wear your watch to sleep, and the score appears the next morning once health data syncs. On nights without a measurement, only the body-clock dial is shown.
Recovery signals only mean something compared to your own baseline, so they appear after you've worn your Apple Watch for at least a week or so. One or two nights of fluctuation isn't enough to display.
Set the rotation start date in Settings → Shift Pattern and the whole pattern realigns. If only a specific day is different, tap that day in the Schedule tab to correct just that day's shift.
Go to Settings → Shift Pattern → Build your own and create a custom pattern on a weekly grid. You can also adjust the start and end times of each shift to match your workplace.
Tap "Delete All Data" at the bottom of Settings. Your roster, corrections, custom patterns, and settings are all erased and the app returns to its initial state. Apple Health data is unaffected — the app only ever reads it.
No. ShiftRhythm provides reference information to help you manage your daily rhythm. It is not a medical device or a diagnostic tool. The values shown are estimates and may be inaccurate. Consult a professional for health concerns. The science behind every estimate is documented in the app under Settings → "Methodology & scientific basis".
